Immigrants

If you go back far enough, all of us, even the Indians, are immigrants or the descendants of immigrants.  We are a nation of immigrants, and though I agree we should all learn English for practical reasons, millions over the 234 years of this nation’s existence never have, and still managed to contribute to our collective well-being.  Every generation has had a hated group of immigrants of varying “legality” from the Irish, the Polish, the Italian, Chinese, Vietnamese – even the aboriginal Natives right to be here has been questioned by the arrogant xenophobes. The part of America now being “invaded” by Mexicans was in fact ripped off from Mexico by unprovoked military invasion, and the Mexican families who live in my state have been here five hundred years. We should find a way to legalize their presence, not start another genocidal war against our nearest and formerly-good neighbor.

  1. Yes, even the Native Americans can be traced back to having crossed the Bearing Straights before The White Man's God was invented to kill them. So, all humans in the Americas are immigrants. The same Right Wing Whackos who say our President was not born in the US of A, are the KKK white hood wearing MORONs who say the Mexicans working here are 'bad'. They forget to speak about the Russians, Polacks, Africans, and even the Eskimos who are hear illegally. This is because they have all decided to hate Mexicans. Without hate, these types can not live. They need to hate to be alive. Check these MORONs out the next time you hear one of them spew their aversions. Actually, I would love to see all these jerks move to Mexico and let the Mexicans take their place. Then we'd have a rather good country. And we would no longer need the Republican Party.
