Ask A General? Get A War.

Ask A General? Get A War.

Sometimes things seem oddly simplistic to me that appear to go right over everybody else's head. Try this one: If you have a problem, and you take it to an architect, he will design you a building. If you take the problem to a doctor, he will write you a prescription; to a warden, he will improve security. There is a broad presumption that in matters of foreign affairs, particularly with nations hostile to us, the military assessment of the situation should prevail. If you take your problem to a general, he will recommend you start a war, and tell you how to run it. If entering a war was ill-advised in the beginning, then to make talk of leaving it into heresy, defeatism, or treason is doubly foolish. Now we hear them saying after eight years of George Bush's accomplishments in Afghanistan, we are losing Obama's War.

  1. You might remember the election promises of our President that enabled him to beat Hillary? He said he was the only Senator who did not vote to invade Iraq, and that if he was elected, he would pull all of our Troops out of Iraq by the end of 2009. That was a bold faced lie. And, then he re-invaded Afghanistan, and sent in 30,000+ more Troops. What does that tell you? It tells me that our President is merely an employee of the MICC. He is there trash boy. He takes out their trash. He does not make decisions. He pretends to be President and 'they' let him. Congress is no better. They 'pretend' to be our elected representatives, but in fact, they also work for the MICC. It is a game. And, most Americans play it. LT Bobby Ross

  2. The Republicans now have what they have needed, a way out of that idiotic and unwinnable attempt to control Afghanistan by armed invasion, without looking like they lost. Obama lost.
